On August 23-25 ||| Youth Summer School Dedicated to the Memory of G. Tepanosyan
took place in Byurakan Observatory on the topic "Multisensor Remote Sensing of the
Environment"
Various lectures were held within the framework of the summer school by
Shushanik Asmaryani, head of the GIS and Remote Sensing Department of CENS,
Vahagn Muradyan, Head of the "Data Science and Machine Learning" Group of the GIS and
Remote Sensing Department, and Andrey Medvedev, Head of the "Ultra High Resolution
Remote Sensing" Group of the GIS and Remote Sensing Department.
The summer school was also accompanied by practical works. Multi-spectral and thermal GIS
shootings were carried out, as well as the selection of topographic control points with the GNSS
system, and the determination of spectral features with a spectroradiometer.
At the end of the summer school, the participants presented group works, shared the experience
and knowledge gained during the school, and received certificates.
- Group 1 — Land Cover Classification Using Time Series of Satellite Photos.
- Group 2 — Classification of Surface Cover with Ultra-High Resolution Images.
