At the annual general meeting of the Division of Natural Sciences of NAS RA, CENS presented 2 scientific reports

April 20 this year the annual general meeting of the Division of Natural Sciences of NAS RA was held. Academician-Secretary, Corresponding Member of NAS RA Ruben Harutyunyan presented the main results of the scientific and scientific-organizational activities of 2022.
At the annual meeting, CENS presented the following reports.

1. “From environmental sciences to food security (dedicated to the 30th anniversary of CENS foundation and the 70th anniversary of the founding director prof. A. Saghatelyan)” (ref.  Dr. L.V. Sahakyan).
2. “Development of nuclear criminology capabilities in Armenia” (ref.: Dr. O.A. Belyaeva).

Among the important scientific results of CENS, it was noted that within the framework of interdisciplinary research, the study of the transition and accumulation of toxic elements in the soil-plant system was carried out for the first time by combining compositional data analysis and space-time mapping. It was established that, despite the low content of lead in the soils of subsample II, relatively high values of the transfer coefficient were recorded.
