From artificial and natural ponds used in fish farming water sampling  was done to assess its quality. The water samples were analyzed for quality indices, pH, conductivity, DO, turbidity adding the contents a number of heavy metals (Pb, As, Cd and Hg) and pesticides (DDT and HCH). Also, implemented were works oriented to development of a national standard ՀՍՏ 349-2012 “Maintaining the quality of water used in fish farm ponds”.
